Designed with deep and sustained input from resident and stakeholders of East New York, the Prince Joshua Avitto Community Center (PJACC) is a state-of-the-art building with the goal of providing children, youth, and families with a safe and welcoming space where they can access robust, dynamic programming that is rich in developmental opportunities. With services provided by community-based organizations Good Shepherd Services and Man Up! Inc., the center will organically become a hub for the community where residents feel a strong sense of ownership of, and are invested in, ensuring services offered are high quality and directly target the needs and interests of everyone.
Good Shepherd Services & Man Up! Inc. will run programming in the Center, including basketball clinics, after-school programs, job training, music and arts programs, tutoring, and life skills training.
